Barry brings more than 25 years of healthcare industry experience managing large performance improvement consulting engagements for a broad spectrum of healthcare provider clients including integrated health systems, academic medical centers, and community hospitals. He works with clients to develop a balanced approach to performance improvement focused on operational efficiency and effectiveness. Barry’s knowledge of hospital operations and workforce efficiency, supply chain, shared services, clinical transformation, and post-merger integration solutions has enabled him to assist healthcare provider clients with the achievement of margin improvement targets and objectives.
Prior to joining Huron, Barry was an executive with Navigant Consulting, where he was responsible for leading large integrated margin improvement, workforce efficiency, clinical transformation, and post-merger integration engagements. Prior to joining Navigant, Barry was a Vice President with OptumInsight, where he was responsible for managing the Performance Improvement practice and leading performance improvement engagements. Prior to joining OptumInsight, Barry was a Principal with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where he focused on performance improvement, workforce efficiency, process redesign, and technology optimization engagements. Prior to that, Barry was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young leading large turnaround management, performance improvement, and post-merger integration engagements.
