Matt has nearly 20 years of experience in M&A and restructuring. He has both executed transactions as an acquirer and advised clients in a number of different industries, including but not limited to, automotive, manufacturing, metals, heavy equipment, transportation, healthcare, higher education, and distribution on matters related to acquisitions, divestitures, distress, and strategic initiatives.
Matt was awarded Crain’s deal of the year over $100 million in 2013 for Delphi’s acquisition of the motorized vehicles division of FCI from Bain Capital and the Turnaround Management Association’s small transaction of the year for the restructuring of Lee Steel in 2015.
Prior to joining Huron, Matt served as the Director of Corporate Development for Delphi Automotive LLP, a $16 billion global automotive supplier, where he was responsible for the execution of M&A transactions across all of Delphi’s divisions worldwide as well as corporate strategy. Before his career at Delphi, he served as a Director at KPMG LLP where he performed restructuring services and buy and sell side due diligence for both private equity and corporate clients. He also worked in the Restructuring and Transaction Services practices of Grant Thornton LLP. Matt began his career at Stout Risius Ross in its valuation practice.
