Case Study: Wall-Art Manufacturer
The Company markets art reproductions based on imagery purchased or licensed from publishers globally. The Company’s wall décor products primarily include framed and unframed art on printed/embellished canvas, laminated wood plaques, and wall decals.
Following a poorly-executed move of production from Canada to Mexico, and significant turnover in its senior management, the Company’s senior lender demanded an expedited repayment of its credit facility. Huron’s investment banking team, Huron Transaction Advisory LLC (HTA), considered several strategic options, including a refinancing, sale of the business, and a sale of the Company’s senior debt and subordinated notes.
Results & Benefits
On an accelerated timeline, the Company received multiple transaction proposals as a result of Huron Transaction Advisory’s structured and competitive process, and ensured that all participants adhered to their original terms and timeline. Ultimately, HTA facilitated the sale of the Company’s senior and subordinated debt on terms that substantially exceeded other available strategic alternatives and positioned the Company to further execute its operational and financial turnaround with a new controlling shareholder.
