About Carrie
Carrie collaborates with healthcare and higher education clients to assess their philanthropic programs and strategies and identify growth opportunities. She brings leadership and management experience, with expertise in program evaluation, organizational structures, annual and major giving, change management, performance management and metrics, and volunteer and board engagement.
Carrie has an extensive background in advancing the goals of national nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and institutes of higher education. Among her contributions, she has helped raise millions of dollars to provide funding for a variety of priorities, from research to capital projects, scholarships, and endowed chairs. She has also conducted several campaign readiness studies with academic medical institutions and universities.
Throughout her career, Carrie has:
- Led a major gift officer productivity analysis for a large public university, focusing on opportunities for growth at the $1 million level. The study identified gaps in consistency, reporting, and accountability and informed recommendations that refocused staff efforts, engaged leadership in change management initiatives, and leveraged peer benchmarking to implement best practices.
- Played a key leadership role in the successful execution of a campaign for a public research university in North Carolina to raise funds for student programs, including merit- and need-based scholarships, as well as faculty support, such as endowed professorships, research, and programmatic support. The campaign exceeded its $1.6 billion goal, raising $2.1 billion, enabling exponential growth, and transforming the culture of giving among constituents.
- Managed a benchmarking study to inform recommendations for resource allocation and program growth at a Big Ten institution. The study helped the university position the program appropriately and refocus existing resources on the most capable prospects while addressing engagement concerns and pipeline growth.
- Participated in a post-campaign analysis for an Ivy League institution following a multibillion-dollar campaign. The analysis, supported by donor surveys and interviews, identified strengths, measured impact, and highlighted opportunities to develop staff and programs as new leadership transitioned in.
