Carrie has over 20 years of experience working with research universities, academic medical centers and nonprofit institutions to enhance institutional cost recovery and address regulatory and compliance issues.

About Carrie

Carrie is a research administration expert who has worked with more than 50 institutions to maximize their facilities and administrative (F&A) cost rate calculations. She is a subject matter expert in cost-related compliance issues related to post-award management.

Over the course of her career, Carrie has led comprehensive efforts to direct research institutions’ F&A cost rate calculations, identifying opportunities for rate enhancement and leading negotiations with the federal government to optimize cost recovery. She also helps institutions calculate and review other cost recovery rates for fringe benefits, service centers and animal care operations.

Carrie was integral in the design and development of Huron’s F&A rate calculation and space inventory solutions. She is a frequent speaker at education and research administration industry events led by the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA).
