Donnell provides operational expertise to healthcare industry clients to assess operational efficiency, enabling them to evolve to an outcomes-based care model. Donnell’s deep industry knowledge of contracting, finance, and operations helps clients bridge the gap between traditional revenue streams and the shift to value-based care.
Throughout her career, Donnell has:
- Led a population health initiative for a clinically integrated network (CIN) in New York City, resulting in a $25 million increase in value-based revenue.
- Negotiated a value-based care contract with a national payor for an accountable care organization (ACO) in the Midwest, resulting in a $5 million revenue opportunity for the client.
- Directed a member attribution model initiative for a large health system primarily serving Medicaid patients, resulting in the alignment of population health activities and financial incentives, increasing revenue by $4 million.
- Restructured complex claim research rework operations for a Medicaid payor with an average monthly inventory of 50,000 work items, reducing the average response time by 60%.
- Created a user-friendly value-based contracts guide for clinically integrated networks in New Jersey, New York, and Oklahoma, resulting in the improved alignment of systems, population health management, and revenue.
Prior to joining Huron, Donnell served as vice president of value-based contracting at Lumeris. She also held the role of director of Medicaid operations at Wellpoint Washington Inc. Prior to joining Wellpoint, Donnell held a variety of leadership roles in payor organizations specializing in finance, operations, provider networks, and contracting.
Donnell earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science from Columbia College.
She volunteers with the Seattle Public School District and the American Cancer Society.
