James has more than 17 years of performance improvement consulting experience. He has managed engagements in a variety of environments, including academic medical centers, multi-facility health systems, public health systems, community hospitals and physician group practices. James has designed and implemented revenue cycle solutions for clients ranging in size from $30 million to over $10 billion in net patient revenue. James is a member of the Performance Improvement leadership team as a regional lead for the Revenue Cycle. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he has internal oversight for Huron’s Revenue Cycle technology strategy and has led the development of Huron’s advanced analytic capabilities.
James has worked with numerous large and small health systems across the country and has led multiple large-scale, at-risk transformation, automation, and technology integration projects. Focus areas have been in patient access, patient accounting, health information management, clinical documentation, and case management. In addition, James has a successful record overseeing centralization efforts, HIS system conversions, technology implementations, robotic process automation, and office reorganizations.
