Mark provides strategic leadership to higher education clients to realize growth in philanthropic support, enabling the full potential of their mission and vision for the future. Mark collaborates with clients to understand the factors of their success to date and identify the opportunities and strategic path to realize philanthropic growth.
Throughout his career, Mark has:
- Collaborated with nonprofits and institutions of higher education to design comprehensive campaigns to achieve significant and sustainable growth in support of their missions.
- Designed bespoke engagements with public and private institutions of higher education to identify the opportunities for substantial and sustainable growth, understand the potential for philanthropy, and align programs (staffing, budget resources, policies, and practices) to unlock the potential for growth.
- Engaged with universities globally, from the U.S. to Australia and the United Kingdom, in projects touching all aspects of advancement, including organizational structures and resourcing, alumni engagement, annual giving, stewardship and donor relations, prospect management and research, and major and principal gift program development.
Prior to joining Huron, Mark served as vice president for business development and marketing at GG+A, which was acquired by Huron in 2024. He also held the role of interim vice president and other leadership roles at Beloit College. Prior to his service at Beloit, Mark served as executive officer and vice president at Project Kaleidoscope and the Independent Colleges Office.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts from Beloit College.
Mark is a member of the Giving USA editorial board. He volunteers with the Inspiration Corporation, serving on the board’s development committee.
