About Mary
Mary provides fundraising expertise to independent school clients to plan and manage campaigns, secure principal and major gifts, and coach staff and volunteers who will become fundraising leaders, enabling them to achieve their greatest potential.
Throughout her career, Mary has:
- Designed three $100 million-plus campaigns for independent boarding and day schools, securing funds for endowment, facilities, and current use.
- Directed a campaign planning initiative for an independent day school, resulting in the largest principal gift in the school’s history and leadership for a nine-figure campaign.
- Managed a post-campaign initiative for an independent boarding school, resulting in a group of volunteer leaders realizing a historic transformational gift program matched to the school’s culture.
- Led a campaign preparation initiative for an independent day school, resulting in a more mature major gift program connecting the school’s fundraising goals to gift officers’ benchmarks for success.
Prior to joining Huron, Mary served as a senior vice president at GG+A, which was acquired by Huron in 2024. She also held the role of assistant head of school for advancement at Sidwell Friends School, Mercersburg Academy, Aiglon College, and Maret School.
Mary earned a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Tech. She is a laureate of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), who awarded her the Robert Bell Crow Memorial Award.
