Mike possesses over 18 years of experience working with higher education, nonprofit, and healthcare institutions to design, plan, and execute large-scale initiatives. He specializes in collaborating with institutional leaders to effectively plan, implement, and support Workday and other digital technologies.

About Mike

Mike has experience leading project teams through strategic Workday and digital initiatives, facilitating business process transformation, and aligning systems and data structures to support leading practices, enabling meaningful analysis for executive leadership. He provides guidance to engagements through executive leadership, quality assurance assessments, functional expertise, and project management.

Throughout his career, Mike has:

  • Served as the executive sponsor and delivery lead for multiple Workday Finance, Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, and Grant Management implementations at large, complex higher education research institutions and nonprofit organizations. These engagements have included leading large teams, collaborating with client leadership, and providing overall guidance that leads to successful deployments and adoption of new technologies.
  • Served as the finance and research architect for a leading East Coast research university and health system’s implementation of Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Led a team of more than 20 finance and supply chain functional team members for the full-platform Workday implementation at a Big Ten university system, including two tier-one research (R1) universities, resulting in standardized business processes, increased data integrity and reporting capabilities, and an improved user experience.
  • Served as executive sponsor for the Workday HCM, Payroll, Extend, and Prism implementation for a private Northeastern R1 university and medical center, resulting in a digital solution that supports data-driven decisions; improves efficiencies with consistent, streamlined processes; optimizes compliance; and promotes cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Provided Workday and cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) strategic planning and implementation subject matter expertise for planning and advisory engagements at a Big Ten research university, a Southeastern Conference (SEC) R1 university, and an East Coast R1 university and medical school, among other higher education institutions. Through these engagements he has worked with client leadership to create an informed approach to modernize and improve business processes via new digital technologies.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Miami University and is certified in multiple Workday systems, including Financials, Foundation Data Model (FDM), Grants Management, and Project Management.
